PokéRouge Frequently Asked Questions

In most traditional Pokémon games, you cannot directly search for and find a specific Pokémon that you are looking for. The process is usually more random and emergent. Some ways to find particular Pokémon include:

  • Encountering Pokémon randomly through exploring different areas
  • Using Pokémon Radar or other features that increase odds
  • Breeding Pokémon to get offspring with better stats
  • Participating in events featuring rare Pokémon

There are several ways to increase your chances of finding evolution stones:

  • Thoroughly search various towns, routes, and dungeons for item sparkles
  • Defeat wild Pokémon - they sometimes hold evolution stones
  • Use Pokémon with the Pickup ability
  • Participate in specific events or activities

Different boss types have different catch rules:

  • Legendary/Mythical Pokémon: Usually catchable after defeating them
  • Gym Leader/Champion Pokémon: Cannot be caught
  • Raid/Event Pokémon: Depends on the event rules
  • Open World Bosses: May be catchable in certain conditions

You can just save and quit your current run, and then start a new run and assign it to the game file slot that your original run was in. This will start you a new run and delete your old run.

(P) means partially implemented. Move Stats (BP, PP, Accuracy, Priority) are implemented, additional effects are usually not.

(N) means not implemented. This move does nothing and should not be learned.
